The Day After

There is it. One great trip. As I have talked to others about it and thought about it, it turned out great. We had a good time together as a family. We spent fun time with cousins. We attended three temples. We saw big cities and small towns. We saw history and felt reverence for God and country.

The kids are reporting that the roller coasters were the best part of the whole trip, but they also have good memories of many other parts of the trip as well. Jennifer kept a journal. Timothy collected many maps and brochures for his book. We all returned safely.

And how grateful I am. At every turn during the trip when there could have been problems or trouble, things worked out. Our hotels and campgrounds were all good. Our van was parked successfully in New York. No one got sick (not even a cold.) No one was injured (well, except we had to ban Jennifer from touching knives after two cuts in two days!) The most serious physical impact was mosquitoes (who are particularly fond of Jennifer and Sara.) We had good support, both moral and actual, from family and friends. I am really blessed.

Well. That is all. If you have enjoyed reading along and want to drop me a note, email me at dhamson@gmail.com
