Day 16 - Niagara to Kirtland

The hotel in Niagara Falls featured a full breakfast buffet with chefs to cook your eggs to order for you, so we took full advantage. Eventually we got underway. We walked to the Maid of the Mist boat ride and rode the boat. It was much better than I expected. They outfitted us with blue rain pounchos and we rode by the American Falls. Then the boat when up into the horseshoe of the Horseshoe Falls. That was a great ride! There was "mist" everywhere, but if you didn't know it was mist from the falls, you would think that it was a cloud burst. Water was everywere. It was great.

We then checked out of the hotel and drove to Kirtland. After checking into the hotel, we went over to the visitor's center to get a plan for tomorrow. They reported that there was a play being put on tonight by the local stake. We raced off to dinner and then returned for the play. It was titled "This is Kirtland" and was very well done. It lasted one hour and included a lot of music. It was a good way to start our visit to Kirtland.

The kids then swam, showered and went to bed. The arrangement here is that the kids have adjoining rooms at one end of the floor while the adults have adjoining rooms at the other end of the floor. We LIKE this arrangement.

I am getting lazy with the exact daily distances, but today was just over 200 miles. I am still getting good gas mileage but paid $3.199 for gas today.
