Day 7 - Belle Island

Another blissfully slow day... Tresa, Jennifer and Kate went to a dance workout in the morning. For lunch, we took a picnic to Belle Island on the James River. There is a suspended walking bridge under a freeway bridge that provides foot access to the island. We enjoyed sandwiches and then played on the huge rocks along the river. The kids especially liked a small, natural waterslide and Heather played for a long time in it.

On the way home, it poured rain. Then it rained some more. The timing was good and we enjoyed the rain. After dinner, Chris and Kate treated us to ice cream cones.

A great day with 31 miles traveled.
