Day 6 - 4th of July
We spent the 4th of July moving slowly. We traveled 2.1 miles! In the morning, Tresa and Kate went to the gym. Chris and I got the kids ready and went to the pool. Later Tresa joined us. We swam and ate lunch at the pool.
Later, a flock of Van Dams showed up and we had a bbq and party. Uncle Norman and Aunt Karol came as did two of their sons (Dan and Steve) with their wives and kids. We had 13 kids and 10 adults, piles of good food and fireworks. The cousins had fun talking and the 2nd cousins had a great time playing together in the yard. It was a good time and we all enjoyed being together.
The weather continued to be nice to us: the pool kept us cool at the heat of the day and later, some clouds and breezes made the late afternoon and evening pleasant.
